The Horton Epsom

A magnificent new destination for arts, heritage and events, created within an iconic and historically significant chapel space. The Horton is an extraordinary arts and heritage venue that uses creativity and social activities to enrich the community and generate opportunities for everyone. The charity Horton Chapel Arts & Heritage Society (HCAHS) was founded in 2016 to save and renovate grade II listed building Horton Chapel for the benefit of the public, and to run it as a not-for-profit venue for arts and culture – The Horton. The chapel is only remaining building of the former Epsom Hospital Cluster with potential to be freely open to the public. The venue offers an exciting arts programme, café-bar, creative learning activities, venue hire, as well as a permanent exhibition about the unique history of the site and its importance in contemporary approaches to mental health care.
