The For the City Network maximizes and catalyzes individual, community, and city restoration efforts. We do this by developing communities and connecting people, churches, and organizations – all for God's glory.
Develop: We become a part of our city’s neighborhoods, which starts with relational living. By connecting with neighbors and engaging in community activities, we get to know the unique character of a neighborhood. Every neighborhood has particular assets and needs, and often, there are individuals and entities already sustaining those assets and addressing those needs. To support their efforts, we partner with them through mobilizing volunteers and catalyzing collaboration. But sometimes we find that a neighborhood has needs that are not being addressed. And this is where development continues.
Connect: A restored city requires a lot of people and organizations active in its restoration. There is already a lot going on, and it can be hard to stay in the loop and know where to start. We want to work effectively and efficiently together for city-wide restoration, so we connect people, churches, and organizations.
