The two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning Eagle-Tribune covers the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. With offices based in North Andover, Mass., and Derry, N.H., our core coverage communities are Andover, North Andover, Methuen, Lawrence, and Haverhill in Massachusetts, and Salem, Atkinson, Plaistow, Pelham, Windham, Derry and Londonderry in New Hampshire. We do cover surrounding communities, as well.
The Eagle-Tribune has its roots in The Essex Eagle, which launched on April 13, 1867, to serve the same region of readers as we do today. Nearly a century and a half later, our core mission hasn’t changed, though the tools and means for fulfilling it certainly have. We publish seven days a week, including the flagship Sunday Eagle-Tribune.
What’s that mission? It’s to bring you the compelling stories that arise in your communities all day, every day. Be it a fire, a nor’easter, a high school football playoff, town festival, grammar school theater production, chili cook-off, or homecoming of American soldiers, you will find the story meaningfully reported in print and electronically by The Eagle-Tribune.
Our award-winning publication is known for outstanding journalism, aggressive coverage of breaking news, and award-winning editorials, sports, community and feature coverage. Our journalists have their boots on the ground all over the region seven days a week.
All of this prepares us to bring you exclusive, comprehensive coverage about the communities where you live, work and recreate, and to feature news, names and faces from the places you care about most.
Now and always, for The Eagle-Tribune it’s all about telling the stories — local stories, your stories ... stories.
