The Durst Organization builds, owns, and operates premier office towers and residential buildings that set new standards in environmental responsibility, comfort, service, and efficiency. For over 100 years, The Durst Organization has been a family-owned business dedicated to the principles of integrity, innovation, community and sustainability. The founding philosophy to “leave each place better than you found it” has driven The Durst Organization to create value by developing sustainable pioneering properties for four generations, in which people live, work, and thrive. The company’s portfolio currently includes more than 13 million square feet of Class-A Manhattan office and retail space, 3 million square feet of residential rental properties with 3,400 rental residences built and over 3,500 in the pipeline, and with additional mixed-use properties currently in development.
In May 2011, The Durst Organization became an owner of One World Trade Center, partnering with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The Durst Organization is responsible for leasing, marketing, and management of the 3.1 million square foot office tower. With the completion of residential towers, HELENA 57 WEST in 2005, VIA 57 WEST in 2016, and FRANK 57 WEST in 2017, the 57 WEST superblock, located between 11th and 12th Avenues and 57th and 58th Streets, transformed what was vacant lots and blighted industrial sites into one of Manhattan’s most architecturally significant and desirable residential neighborhoods. In 2016 The Durst Organization completed EŌS, a mixed-use retail, office and rental tower located at the center of everything in NoMad. To broaden the company’s residential portfolio, The Durst Organization branched out to Queens with the completion of 10 Halletts Point in Astoria in 2019 and Sven in Long Island City in 2021.
