In 2013, we launched "The Digital Board" with the vision to change the way that business leaders and IT cohabit this changing world. Our overarching mission was to help our clients bridge the uncertainty gap that lies between their strategic vision and the technology opportunity that underpins it. Our research told us two key things: 1. That Boards want to play a more effective supervisory role in the stewardship of the digital/IT agenda yet often lack the confidence and knowledge to assess the organisation's ability to manage these large programmes of change. 2. That CIOs (and aspiring CIOs) need to elevate their approach to be seen as a strategic contributor in the boardroom while also managing ever-increasing amounts of complexity within this fast changing technology world.
