The Death Penalty Project (DPP) is a legal action charity based in London. For more than three decades we have worked tirelessly to protect the human rights of those facing the death penalty, through:
Free legal representation - we provide free legal representation and advice to those facing the death penalty and other vulnerable prisoners. We also bring strategic litigation to restrict how the death penalty can be applied in practice.
Capacity building - we build up local expertise by providing training to those involved in the criminal justice process on issues relating to human rights and the death penalty.
Research - we help achieve more informed debates about the death penalty through our original research and publications.
Dialogue - we engage governments in dialogue on the death penalty, promoting human rights and the rule of law
