Vision: Be a local and global leader in mobilizing business-led, U.S.-China collaborations to sustain a planet in balance. Mission: As a Philadelphia-based 501(c)(3) non-profit, we bridge understanding and catalyze collaboration at scale and speed, convening impactful partners across institutional, sectoral, and cultural boundaries. Mandate: CPGP is one of only 36 U.S. sub-national leaders recognized under the presidential-level Ten Year Framework for U.S.-China Cooperation on Energy & the Environment (2009-2018). Our objective is to promote collaboration on public/private cleantech initiatives between Philadelphia and the People’s Republic of China, accelerate job creation, attract investment, and support cleantech business incubation in Greater Philadelphia through strategic linkages to leading Chinese corporate, governmental, and academic organizations. CPGP leverages both established and emerging programs and initiatives including the Greater Philadelphia Innovation Cluster (GPIC) program, the U.S.-China Clean Energy Research Center (CERC) program, and the 30-year old Philadelphia-Tianjin Sister City relationship.
