The Center for Volunteer Caregiving engages the community in providing volunteer services to improve the lives of seniors, caregivers and adults with disabilities. Cary Chamber of Commerce Charitable Partner Award Winner (2017).
Services are provided by matching Volunteer Caregivers in three core programs:
* Transportation Program - escorted transportation for medical appointments and necessary shopping.
* Caregiver Support Program - respite or “time off” for primary caregivers, plus information and training. The Center is the only nonprofit in Wake County that offers volunteer caregiver support.
* In-Home Connections Program - friendly visiting and chore services focused on maintaining a safe and healthy environment, including light housekeeping, yard work and shopping.
