My 14-year-old son and I started The Brighter Side of News (www.thebrighterside.news) as a social awareness and social giving project. An effort to teach him about technology, running a website, critically evaluating news and information and how to be socially aware and responsible.
In a world of hyper-partisan media, "if it bleeds, it leads" culture and the 24-7 echo chamber of negativity, we found that today, it's much harder to see the good that is out there, happening all around us, every day. That's where this project begins. We aggregate good, positive, inspiring, motivational, and educational news from around the world. It's an effort at restoring our balance and reaffirming the good that permeates our world.
