The Badger Project is a nonpartisan, nonprofit journalism venture in Wisconsin that investigates our state government, politics and related matters.
With the decline of local newspapers across the state, this project aims to try and fill at least a small portion of that gap. We give away most of our work for free to newspapers and other news orgs with the goal of educating Wisconsin residents so they can make well-informed decisions in the voting booth and in their own lives.
Elected officials work for the people and do the people’s business. They don’t get to do it in secret.
To promote good government, we must promote transparency.
