The AutoEthnographer is a literary and arts magazine dedicated to presenting the creative side of autoethnography, a qualitative research method that utilizes lived experience as evidence with which to explore cultural phenomena.
The AutoEthnographer seeks to publish the evocative stories – sometimes audio, visual, or multimodal – crafted in conjunction with autoethnography that celebrate the intersection of creative expression and cultural inquiry. The AutoEthnographer also publishes interviews with writers, reviews of relevant publications, discussions of recommended resources, and hosts an online community for exchange of ideas. Theoretical, academic, and philosophical treatments of autoethnography are recommended for submission to The Journal of Autoethnography (unaffiliated).
Please see our Submissions page for more information about publishing your writing or artwork at The AutoEthnographer.
