We are the leading professional body for those providing tax compliance services and related activities in the UK.
The Association of Taxation Technicians was formed in 1989 to provide a qualification for those engaged in tax compliance. Members come from varied backgrounds and with very different prior experience. Many are members of another professional body and have seen ATT as a natural additional qualification.
The Association's examinations provide a sound basis in UK taxation together with the relevant law and accountancy principles. The Association's examination consists of seven stand-alone papers. A successful examinee who passes the three compulsory papers and one option paper and fulfills the practical experience requirement can apply for membership of the Association.
Members are qualified as "Taxation Technicians" and can use the designatory letters ATT. The ATT qualification provides a solid foundation from which to build a future career in taxation or related fields.
