The Art House is a not-for-profit café, gallery and arts venue in the centre of Southampton. We were formed in 2008 to: Promote the Arts Our busy programme of events will connect you with your creative side, with workshops in everything from poetry to drumming. We have art exhibitions by local artists and a clothing and crafts boutique. Enhance our community Our licensed café is mostly staffed by volunteers. It’s a welcoming meeting place where you can enjoy fairtrade tea, lunch made from local ingredients or a delicious homemade cake. You can meet new people, catch up with friends or just come in by yourself. Our community noticeboard and HubBlog promote other good things in the city, too. Encourage ethical and sustainable living Most of our delicious food is organic, it’s all vegetarian and there are many vegan options. This means your meal or snack has a lower impact on the environment whilst still giving you a great choice of home cooked dishes to tingle your tastebuds. We are also passionate about recycling, re-using and reducing the ecological footprint of everything we do. Being not-for-profit means that we put these ahead of merely making money and every penny you spend here goes back into achieving our aims!
