In 2016, two friends and business associates, indie director Payne Lindsey, and music industry vet Donald Albright, launched their first podcast, an investigative true crime series, Up and Vanished. Overnight, their company, Tenderfoot TV was born. It began as a creative hub for original podcasts and, over the years, has developed into a creative and business leader, with foundational series, genre breaking shows, and multiple hit franchises to the tune of 800+ million downloads.
The 2019 award-winning series To Live and Die in LA, named AP Podcast of the Year, was produced by Tenderfoot in partnership with best-selling author Neil Strauss. It was on this project that the Tenderfoot team met lead producer/editor Alex Vespestad. They continued their work together on additional award-winning originals, eventually branching out to produce 3rd party content.
This led to the 2023 launch of Tenderfoot LABS, a production services venture born out of the idea that high quality content should not be relegated to originals. So we’re getting in the lab, with our formula, to create great content for our partners.
