In the not so distant past, Tehran Business School operated under the name “the Iran Center for Management Studies” as a branch of Harvard Business School in Iran. But despite becoming one of the leading academic institutes for business in the nation at the time, it ceased operations after a few years.
The current TBS is an attempt at reviving the glorious days of its predecessor. The idea to restore TBS was suggested by Harvard University professor David J. Collis. “Several of my current colleagues used to work as professors at the Tehran Business School and I hope that we can once again witness this institute’s stellar activities”, he once said. In this regard, several professors and teachers in the field of management within the country decided to establish a founding board and thus TBS, through Negareh Institute of Higher Education, commenced its activities.
As such, in order to reach the global standards of higher education, the faculty members of this institute have been chosen from the most renowned academics and professors of the leading universities in the field of management with the aim of using their vast knowledge and expertise to best guide aspiring individuals.
Graduates will receive an accredited certificate indicating successful completion of their respective programs and proficiency in the courses taught. This certificate is approved by the national Ministry of Science, and it can also be translated and presented to foreign universities. By creating strong, lasting relations with several reputable foreign universities, TBS has made the continuing of studies abroad very easy for graduates.
