We are a group of passionate biomedical engineers developing new methods, electronic technologies, instrumentation and devices for biomedical instrumentation, in particular in the field of respiratory diagnostics and mechanical ventilation.
Our research is focused on the bioengineering aspects of respiratory physiology, in particular the kinematics, mechanics and dynamics of the tracheo-bronchial tree, of the lung and of the chest wall and their related modifications induced by diseases.
We are recognised experts in new methods for the assessment of respiratory mechanics, in particular those based on the forced oscillations technique.
