Technovation is a global tech education nonprofit that empowers girls to become leaders, creators, and problem-solvers. With the support of volunteer mentors and parents, girls work in teams to code mobile apps that address real-world problems. To date, 300,000+ students in 100+ countries have participated in programs run by Technovation
As one of its core programs, Technovation Girls equips girls around the world with the skills to become tech entrepreneurs and leaders. Its alumnae have gone on to win startup and app-building competitions, speak at events like TEDx Women, IBM India Onward, and Google Science Fair, be named Times Kid of the Year, and receive internships with prominent technology companies, higher education institutions and government agencies.
Founded in 2006 by aerospace engineer Tara Chklovski as Iridescent, Technovation has grown from hosting local Family Science nights in Los Angeles to a nonprofit that spans 100+ countries with thousands of individuals who believe in the power of girls, families, and communities to change the world with technology.
