Since establishing their winery three generations ago, the Taylor family’s unique blend of ‘old world’ estate philosophy, ‘new world’ winemaking innovation and zealous attention to detail has seen Taylors Wines awarded more than 5,500 medals and trophies at prestigious wine shows the world over. Taylors Wines has been recognised as one of the 'Top 5 Most Awarded Wineries in the World' by the World Association of Wine Writers and Journalists for the fourth year running (2013-2016).
The Taylors portfolio now includes eight wine ranges – The Pioneer, The Visionary, St Andrews, Jaraman, Taylors Winemaker's Project, Taylors Estate, 80Acres and Promised Land.
The family’s vineyard is situated in South Australia’s beautiful Clare Valley, in the sub-region of Auburn and stretches to the Watervale border. It is 350 metres above sea level and the climate is often described as ‘Mediterranean’ due to the cool maritime breezes originating from the Gulf of St Vincent situated only 60 kilometres to the west.
The Taylor family is committed to preserving the local environment and operating in a responsible and sustainable manner, having launched the world’s first carbon neutral wine range compliant to the international standard for life cycle assessment (ISO14044) –100% carbon neutral 80 Acres.
Taylors is also proud to be one of Australia's leading family-owned wineries and is a founding member of Australia's First Families of Wine. The organisation of 12 family-owned and operated wineries represent 16 Australian regions across four states and between them, have more than 1,200 years of winemaking experience.
As the official wine sponsor of the Qantas Wallabies, Taylors Wines have a strong presence at all Wallabies matches and major events.
