Taurus is a registered trademark deposited in 1932 by Taurus ’80, a company linked to Milan-based group Continuus-Properzi. Taurus started specializing in the production of high-precision die-casting products made of zamak alloys in 1980, while also developing a high-level technical office and mechanical workshop to design and produce moulds destined to the production of die-casting pieces. The company plant in Grosso Canavese spreads over a 45,000 m2 area, with covered facilities for 12,000 m2.
Taurus ’80 produces die-castings made of zinc alloy (zamak) with a weight from 1 to 800 grams, with a fully integrated production cycle: from design and development of moulds, to production of die-casting pieces, finishing operations, mechanical reworking and a wide range of sufarce treatments. Thanks to the expertise gained by the Company and its workers over the years on the entire production process, they can guarantee constant attention to the development of new technological solutions aimed at continuous improvement.
Taurus ’80 has already gained a number of standard certifications, including ISO 9002-EN29002 in 1995, QS 9000 in 1999 and
ISO/TS 16949 in 2001.
On 1st April 2008 the Company also opened a production unit in Tunisia, named Taurus ’08. This constantly growing new plant combines the technical expertise gained by Taurus ’80 over the years to the economic advantage of producing in an emerging country.
