Talem AI developed a first-to-industry Delta-V model that uses computer vision to predict the change in velocity that occurred for a vehicle in an accident. Since Delta-V is a main predictor of occupant injury, we use this data to evaluate impact severity and injury causation, all based on a single photo. Talem’s insights allow Insurers to segment and assign claims with consistency, reserve claims with improved accuracy, and increase customer-centric management by understanding the claimant at a time of need. No need to directly connect with a vehicle, use specialized software, collect mass amounts of crash information or engage in expensive reconstruction. An accident analysis (delta-V) and associated injuries can now be easily accessed and understood from a photo.
