The TahDah Foundation’s mission is to improve the hearts, the minds, and lives of young people with resources that support holistic arts education and wellbeing.
Founded in 2016, the TahDah Foundation believes that every young person deserves to have access to resources and opportunities that support their learning, growth and development. Our efforts focus on serving K -12 and young adults who are differently-abled, special needs and/or at-risk youth in schools, after-school programs, summer camps, homeless shelters and community-based organizations. All of these settings lack vital resources and sufficient staffing to enable children to learn and grow in safe, positive ways. As Margaret Mead so masterfully said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
The TahDah Foundation includes the following areas within the scope of holistic arts education:
Capoeira
Dancing
Drumming
Storytelling
Theater Arts
Visual Arts
Voice and Song
Yoga and Meditation
