Tabulex

Tabulex was founded in the beginning of the 1990s based on a ground-breaking invention by two fresh graduates from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). These two are still owners and active in the company. Their idea on how to optimize by means of a highly specialized computer algorithm was used for many different projects over the first couple of years; optimization of freight container packaging, hospital's waiting lists, airline catering planning, aircrew duty roster a.o. But the break-through came when the algorithm was used to auto-make and optimize school time tables. The system became a big sales hit in Denmark and a few surrounding countries, resulting in very loyal end-users and clients. The algorithm is still considered unique world-wide. The time tabling system's success made it possible to enter the market for other administrative solutions for schools. The focus was put on the Danish market. From the year 2000 until today, Tabulex has developed a number of applications which are used for administrative purposes at schools and for overall municipal administration in most of the Danish municipalities.
