TVW Mission
Founded on the belief that the public has a right to know, TVW is a multi-platform media conduit focused on the business of Washington state government. TVW maintains a repository of digital archives, providing access to current and historical digital resources anytime, anywhere, and on any device.
TVW provides unfiltered, unbiased, gavel-to-gavel coverage of Washington state government, along with complementary programming, to promote a healthy and robust public discourse, increase civic access and engagement, and foster an informed citizenry.
TVW Supports
TVW covers ALL House and Senate committee hearings and floor debates at the State Capitol.
TVW covers ALL WA State Supreme Court oral arguments, both inside and outside Olympia.
TVW offers comprehensive coverage of state elections – the nine statewide elected offices, key legislative races, and ballot measures.
TVW provides unedited coverage of state agencies, boards and commissions – examples include the Transportation Commission and Fish & Wildlife Commission.
Besides covering the State Capitol, TVW travels throughout the state to cover hearings and public policy events in Seattle, Spokane, Tri-Cities, Bellingham, Vancouver, and many other locations.
TVW is available statewide on cable TV, and livestreams most of its coverage on tvw.org.
TVW provides free civics education programs and materials using technology to offer this programming statewide.

Non-partisan coverage: TVW seeks to tell authentic stories, stay meticulously nonpartisan and let viewers make their own decisions about the issues.
Civics Education: TVW works to educate Washingtonians of all ages about their state government and invite them to engage and participate.
