Turk Egitim Vakfi

Türk Eğitim Vakfı (Turkish Education Association) is an NGO, founded by 205 Turkish intellectuals who dedicated themselves to the education of the youth, under the leadership of Vehbi Koç on the 7th of May, 1967. The objective of the organization is to support the youth in a way that they can create and use knowledge in proper ways. By giving scholarships to successful students who have weak financial situatiations, TEV supports the education system in Turkey and many young people who would contribute to Turkey and the mankind. Since it was founded, TEV has given 250.000 domestic and 2.000 abroad scholarships. Apart from the scholarship support, TEV has also contributed Turkey’s education system with establishing dormitories, several educational facilities and libraries. In 2001, TEV has taken over the İnanç High School which was founded to give the students with outstanding success and high potentials the education they deserve, and the school is still running its activities under the name of Türk Eğitim Vakfı İnanç Türkeş Özel Lisesi (TEVİTÖL).
