TEDxSingaporeManagementUniversity was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organisations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. The SMU community serves as a safe space for budding youths to navigate complexities of life—pursuing aspirations while forging life-long friendships with individuals from all walks of life, sharing stories, ideas and inspiration. We hence serve to draw on the vividness of the SMU community and provide a platform for individuals to transform thoughts into words, words into actions, sparking change within and beyond the community. This year, "The Art of Play" celebrates individuals who embrace playfulness in all aspects of life, inspiring the SMU Community to rediscover the joy and value of 'Play' at every stage.
