Szicsek Pálinkafőzde

The Szicsek Distillery is one of the oldest craft distilleries and one of the most important private enterprises of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County in Hungary. Following his father’s footsteps, János Szicsek re-opened his plant on the land dominated by the Tisza and Körös rivers, in a suburban part of the town Tiszaföldvár. At the company, which today employs more than fifty people, we all strive for high quality, consistent and true values and authenticity. Our different types of pálinkas and spirits are made of both home and wild grown fruits of Hungary and the Carpathian Basin, using 1000 to 1200 tons of fruit every year. We produce around eighty different products from thirty different kinds of fruit for the domestic market and sell them directly to 1600-1700 hotels and restaurants. The company's direct sales team has been working successfully for the last ten years without any change in people. The other pillar of our stable, predictable revenue is the six so called ’Pálinka Houses’ of the company. The first House was opened in 2003 in Budapest, followed by other Houses in Kecskemét, Gyula, Szolnok and Szeged. We operate an independent tax warehouse in Romania and we are present on every major city’s Hungary Day as well as on Romanian gastro-cultural events. We operate with various representation models in Slovakia, the UK, Canada, Iceland, Austria and the United States. We as well have been supplier for several years of a Moscow-based premium brands re-seller. Our products are targeting selective consumers of selective business partners, who have the same goal as we do, that pálinka gets its well-deserved place amongst the alcoholic beverages of the world and who would like to act as ambassadors for this gastronomic specialty and its culture around the world. Our credo is to drink quality spirits and to do it moderately, so that you can maximise the pálinka experience!
