At Synano, we develop advanced cooling solutions for the next generation electronics. We develop highly efficient nanofluid-coolants for cooling high heat flux devices such as mining computers, electro-mechanical machines, automotives to increase the lifetime of electronic components and facilitate high power production with compact volume.
With the current trend of miniaturization, electronic products (Laptops, smartphones, servers, LED luminaires etc.) are becoming more compact and at the same time more powerful. With increased number of features, the processing power per square cm for these electronics has risen and will continue to rise in the future. This results in higher heat generated from smaller areas thus making heat removal a challenge. High temperature and improper cooling of these electronic components lead to component failure, explosions, lifetime deterioration and reduced performance. This problem will become more prominent in the future and current solutions will not be sufficient to deal with increasing heat production/ temperature rise in these components.
Our nanofluids provide significantly higher heat transfer potential compared to water or air cooling. The thermal performance of heat exchangers can increase by 20% with these nanofluids. Therefore, high heat flux electronics can be cooled more efficiently which can facilitate volume reduction and freedom of design for these components.
