Suzuki Canada located in Barrie, Ontario, was founded in 1973 by Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) based in Hamamatsu, Japan. At that time, the company comprised of 30 employees and was oriented towards motorcycle sales. Today, Suzuki enjoys a much more diversified business approach, and is seen by Canadian consumers as a major motorcycle, ATV and outboard company.
SCI markets motorcycles, ATVs and 4-stroke outboard engines via an extensive dealer network throughout Canada. The Motorcycle, ATV & Marine Divisions market an impressive array of quality, fun-oriented products. There are close to 52 versions of Suzuki's world famous motorcycles, complemented by an additional 14 models of Suzuki's KingQuad, QuadSport and QuadRacer brand All-Terrain Vehicles. Suzuki is noted for being the “First on 4”, with the 1983 introduction of the 4-wheel ATV, a transformation to the industry at large.
Suzuki also markets an impressive line-up of 4-stroke outboard motors, with over 59 different outboards in all, ranging in power from 2.5 to 300 horsepower. Using industry leading technology, Suzuki Outboard motors are extremely quiet and very fuel efficient. Each of these product groups is supported by an extensive range of parts and accessories.
