Sunnyside Communities, a nonprofit Life Plan and Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is recognized as a leader in the retirement industry with over 800 residents and 500 employees on three distinct and award-winning communities across Virginia. Sunnyside Communities began its ministry in 1912, making it the only retirement community in Virginia with over 100 years of experience. Today, Sunnyside is a family of communities: Sunnyside in Harrisonburg, King’s Grant in Martinsville and Summit Square in Waynesboro. Each community offers its residents security, value, diverse living options and quality care while following our mission of adding life to years by offering retirement living choices that enhance the physical, spiritual, social, and psychological and security needs in caring Christian communities.
