Suits U is a national non-profit organization founded by University of Toronto students in 2012. In 2016, students at McGill University helped the organization expand to Montreal. Suits U Montreal's mission is to to help students look and feel confident in a professional environment.
The Montreal chapter collects business apparel from local firms and offers students the opportunity to purchase high quality, donated apparel at a fraction of the cost. Throughout the year, the organization hosts multiple events, including suit drives. All proceeds from the events go to a local charity. In 2016, Suits U raised over $10,000 for charity and helped dress 250 students.
Despite the organization's success, Suits U Montreal strives for constant growth and improvement. The organization has been unable to satisfy all the students looking for professional wear due to a shortage of quality attire. In the coming years it hopes to overcome this challenge. In the meantime, Suits U Montreal is going to continue to help dress as many students as it can.
