Studio "Ostrov"

Studio "Ostrov" was founded in 1999. Creative director of studio - Sergey Miroshnichenko More than 50 projects have been made by the studio, including the famous Russian version of the «7up project» - «Born in USSR» and many others. Among the awards won by the studio are an Emmy Award, BAFTA Award, Grierson Award, NIKA Awards, Golden Eagle Awards and many others. Since 2006 Studio Ostrov, together with producer Grigory Libergal, has organized the Documentary program "Free thought" as part of the Moscow International Film Festival. The program usually screens between 14 and 21 best international documentaries - winners of the most prestigious film festivals. In 2010, Studio Ostrov, together with federal television channel «Kultura», started a weekly Saturday evening talk-show which combines the screening and discussion of documentary highlights from around the world.
