Strix Television is one of the leading TV production companies in Scandinavia, and is a respected international provider of original TV formats. The company has offices in Stockholm, Oslo and Amsterdam. Strix is a Fremantle company. The company was established in 1988, shortly after the launch of TV3 Scandinavia, MTG:s first TV channel. Strix was then one of the first production companies in the market. Strix has a strong track record and a long list of merits. The company was in 1997 the first in the world to produce the format Survivor, thus paving ground for the establishment of the reality TV genre around the world. The company has since produced or co-produced the format for more than 20 countries. Furthermore, Strix has developed and sold original formats to over 80 countries, such as The Bar, Camp Molloy, Floor Filler and The Farm.
