Stormline is a family business founded in 1966 by George McMillan in Invercargill, New Zealand. Located at the very bottom of the world, it was established to manufacture commercial fishing gear for the demanding New Zealand commercial fishing and outdoor industries. Graeme McMillan, the present Managing Director, took over the business in 1982 from his father George and has since extended the scope of manufacturing with a continued emphasis on quality and innovation for which Stormline has become renowned. Graeme’s background as a Structual Engineer has been instrumental in developing world leading designs that have improved comfort and safety for commercial fishermen and outdoor professionals. Graeme has since been joined by his daughter, Hayley and son Regan who are the third generation as the business continues grow and remains 100% family owned and operated. Stormline manufactures a variety of professional rain gear and recreational wet weather gear for fishing, commercial fishing and outdoor professionals in New Zealand, Europe and North America for retail and commercial clients. The products are designed in New Zealand and tested and worn worldwide in some of the most demanding environments from Antarctica to the Artic and everywhere in between.
