Stormborn Studios Inc. is a Vancouver based visual effects studio focusing on complex sequences comprised of large scale hyperrealistic procedural simulations and dynamics. Led by Visual Effects Supervisors Manuel Tausch and Goran Pavles, Stormborn has contributed to a wide variety of prestigious projects in feature film, animated feature, TV series, commercials, game cinematics and 3D projection mapping. Some of the studio’s recent work include live action sequences for the season finales of Project Bluebook (The History Channel, season 2) and The Man In The High Castle (Amazon Prime, season 4).
Founded in 2017 and equipped with a combined industry experience of over 20 years, Stormborn aims to push boundaries in Visual Effects by leveraging state of the art hardware and technology, passion and creativity. The scope of FX simulation work that Stormborn excels at consists of large scale destruction setups (collapsing buildings, vehicle destruction, earthquakes, etc.), volumetric simulations (explosions, fire & smoke, clouds, etc), fluid simulations (oceans, tidal waves, splashes, art directable small scale liquids), as well as procedural and particle effects.
