Stone Soup Magazine is the magazine and website 100% written and illustrated by young writers and artists aged 13 and younger. Founded in 1973, Stone Soup encourages children to read, write, and create in all media by publishing their best work in a quality format. We publish 6 issues of Stone Soup Magazine every year, available in print and digital formats, as well as long-form fiction by young writers. Our young bloggers and reviewers create new work for our website every week. Our new Refugee Project microsite is allowing the creative voices of displaced and migrant young people to be heard.
Since its foundation in 1973, Stone Soup has published more than 10,000 pages of writing by children from all 50 states and Canada, the UK and Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Africa, Indonesia, Singapore and China, and art from children from over 25 countries.
Stone Soup is produced by Children's Art Foundation, a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization based in Santa Cruz, California.
