Stone County Emergency Services (E-911) is the sole Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for Stone County, Missouri. The organization, created by a vote of the citizens of Stone County in the late 1990’s, has provided call taking and centralized dispatching for Law, Fire, and EMS throughout the county, since coming on line in 2000. In addition to call taking and dispatch services, Stone County Emergency Services is responsible for addressing throughout the county. Services are provided and enhanced with a staff of seventeen and governed locally by a seven member Board of Directors. Our annual operating budget is around $860K, provided locally through sales tax revenues.
