Omniradar develops unique sensing solutions based on millimeter wave radar. The applications are myriad; industrial, professional, automotive and many more. Then there are all the benefits that radar sensing brings in comparison to other sensing technologies. This allows for customers to quickly realize their development as we took 'the microwave hassle' out of the equation and allows for a much faster time to market. With our solutions you can measure speed, position, angle of arrival, to name but a few. You can even measure behind objects. Radar is impervious to plastic, so it can be mounted in the housing or behind it. To support your development, we offer radar IC's, modules, algorithms software and a development kit which are all available.
One of our IC-solutions that we have in production is unique as there is no other company to date that has been able to integrate the antennas on-silicon for 60 GHz. This also allows for a smaller form-factor.
The IC allows multiple functions to be programmed, including the delivery of analog or digital (I/Q) baseband signals.
The design does not require any difficult RF/microwave board design, just simple low-frequency components suffice to complete the application. Using a standard uP/DSP/FPGA allows you to start designing your algorithms for processing the radar-data and visualize the surrounding in terms of position, speed and trajectory of objects. A separate version of our silicon provides the possibility to implement, on request, a custom antenna-array for obtaining a desired antenna-radiation pattern.
