St Catherine’s College, known as Catz, is the youngest and one of the largest of the 38 Oxford colleges. Developing out of the St Catherine’s Society, we were founded as a fully-fledged College in 1962 and still pride ourselves on retaining the egalitarian ethos of the original Society. Over the last half-century, we have become a thriving academic institution, inspiring great contributions to society. Our JCR and MCR are hubs of intellectual activity that also excel in sport, music and a large range of other extra-curricular activities.
Catz is made up of over 70 fellows, 470 undergraduates and 320 graduate students. We have over 10,000 alumni and a vast community of parents and friends spread across the globe. Our alumni work in every imaginable sector, from Engineering to the Civil Service to Media and Arts. We count Olympians and Prime Ministers amongst our notable alumni.
We are located on Manor Road just 10 minutes away from the city centre in a tranquil river side setting designed by the architect, Arne Jacobsen.
