Northwestern University is home to the founding chapter of Spoon University, a nationwide community of college foodies providing coverage of all food-related news, recipes, and tips for college students navigating the world of food for the first time. We take pride in our coverage of food and beverage news and Chicagoland area restaurants, both of which are highlighted in our biannual magazine – a publication for students by students.
Our mission is to open college students’ eyes to cooking and everyday food in a way that’s relatable, accessible, entertaining and delicious. We’re here to provide students with the tools they need to eat well at home and in the dining halls, seek out new restaurants, maintain a healthy lifestyle and, most importantly, to care about the food they eat.
