We have developed Spongy Elephant to ensure staff quickly pick up new skills and knowledge and remember them, without the need to take time away from school. Our platform is for school leaders, teachers, teaching assistants and support staff, adapting to their role and confidence levels in a seamless manner. Spongy Elephant is a micro learning and video conferencing platform bursting with bite-size videos led by expert teachers and edtech trainers demonstrating how to use IT in the classroom and more widely in schools. Although technology is not the driving force behind student learning, it amplifies the real driving force: high-quality teaching. So, getting up to speed with, and feeling confident using technology in the classroom is key to enhancing the quality of learning and teaching. Spongy Elephant is an easy and fun way of doing this and it only takes a couple of minutes to get going.
