Our mission is simple – to help you navigate through a sea of spirits.
Too often spirits writing gets fragmented, with invisible borders around being either for trade or consumers, individual spirit categories, or a perceived need to pick a lane and opt for frivolous and fun, reactive and superficial, or slow to the story but serious in nature.
We don’t accept this. As drinkers, we want all of these things at some point, whilst as journalists we believe there’s a need to look at subjects from different angles in order to get to the most interesting stories.
Spirits Beacon reflects this all-encompassing desire to have a mix of content. We’re guided by curiosity and are focussed on capturing the narratives that underpin everything drinkers and producers have in common – what lies beneath the surface of the liquid in our glass.
Good spirits are more than just distilled flavour. They are about the people, the place, the process and passion. This binds us all and is at the centre of what we aim to cast our light on through our articles.
