He completed a traditional rotating internship at Northside Hospital Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida, then finished a primary residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Sood went on to finish his postgraduate training by completing a fellowship in interventional pain and sports medicine at the prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan, New York.
