Since 1911, Spartanburg Methodist College has led the way in innovation in higher education. SMC is a private residential college offering on-campus and online bachelor's and associate degrees, as well as certificate programs. Coming soon: SMC will launch its first bachelor's degree program in fall 2019 or fall 2020 (pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges). Students will choose two concentrations from among business, English, history or religion. They will also take 18 hours of for-credit courses in professional development. Students will graduate with an 18-24 month advantage over other recent college graduates.
