About SCS: Southwest Community Services, Inc. is a non-profit, human services agency with three separate and distinct divisions: Tinley Park Developmental Training Program, Community Employment Services and Southwest Therapyand Rehabilitation Services (STARS). Each division serves a different population including developmentally disabled adults, mentally disabled adults, children 0-3 years old with development delays and individuals with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular disorders. After over 40 years, SCS continues to be a top provider of human services in the south and southwest suburban area and is set for future growth.
SCS provides adult and children services and programs that assist persons with developmental disabilities, mental illness, physical disabilities, hearing and vision impairments and learning disabilities to enable them to achieve their highest degree of self-sufficiency through developmental training, social and recreational opportunities, psychosocial rehabilitation, community support, job development and community employment opportunities.
