The mission of the Southern Integrated Pest Management Center is to foster development and adoption of Integrated Pest Managerment, or IPM, a science-based approach to managing pests in ways that generate economic, environmental and human health benefits. The Center’s unique strengths are leveraged through collaboration among three Southern institutions, NC State, University of Georgia, and Auburn, in partnership with regional stakeholders from multiple sectors in agricultural, urban, and rural settings to identify and address regional priorities for research, education, and outreach.
