South Philly Food Co Op

South Philly Food Co-op is a community of South Philadelphia residents who worked together to open a grocery store that uses food as a force for good. The Co-op brings local, fresh, whole and sustainable food at fair prices to the heart of our neighborhood. As a community-owned and -controlled enterprise, the Co-op is a vibrant community hub connecting the residents of South Philadelphia to each other as well as to local food producers and farmers. Our goal is to grow with the community over time, embracing the diversity of the neighborhood, providing jobs and attracting like-minded businesses. More than that, the Co-op is a hub for community and food-centric education, south of South, river to river. By leveraging our combined purchasing power and keeping control local, we are making a meaningful contribution to a thriving, healthy community and a sustainable planet through the power of food.
