Established in 2011 as a Society, the South Okanagan Similkameen Volunteer Centre was created to be a catalyst for change in the region. Providing awareness and education on volunteer and non-profit engagement has been a central tenet of the organization.
Everyone has talents and gifts to share within our community. SOSVC recognizes this and continues to provide services and programs to support and strengthen a vibrant volunteer community.
The SOSVC has created a substantial database of volunteers in our community, which provides an opportunity for both volunteers and member organizations to connect and share in success and achievement. Printed materials addressing various aspects of volunteerism have been developed and widely distributed throughout the communities in which we serve, with new programs and opportunities continually being explored.
Whether you belong to a non-profit in search of volunteer talent, or are interested in exploring volunteer opportunities, the South Okanagan Similkameen Volunteer Centre is here to help you.
