South Dakota Division Of Criminal Investigation

Since 1937, the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation has served as the lifeline of support to South Dakota’s law enforcement agencies, leading criminal investigations, maintaining criminal records, training law enforcement officers, and operating a state-of-the-art forensic laboratory. Today, the DCI’s mission is accomplished by the agency’s 130 highly trained and ethical professionals, including special agents, investigators, forensic scientists, victim advocates, trainers, specialists, and support staff.
