The purpose of the South Carolina Association of Community Action Partnerships, used interchangeably as the "State Association", is to build the overall capacity and resources addressing the needs of the state's low-income, vulnerable, and indigent population served by Community Action Agencies and Head Start Programs in South Carolina. The State Association strives to develop and advocate for programs to promote self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life for the low-income community. This is accomplished by advocating for policies that strengthen program services; coordinating extensive training and professional development; serving as a state clearinghouse for information and data compilation of reporting; marketing, building of public, private and governmental partnerships and developing and disseminating research, information, and resources that enrich service delivery.
