Socio Economic Development Association (SEDA), Pakistan is a registered non-profit development organization with a difference and offers a national indigenous solution to quality development at the grass roots level through an intensive and integrated participatory process. It empowers people for sustainable development and builds meaningful partnerships between all stakeholders.
Since its inception in 1998, SEDA has been active in creating awareness, mobilization, community organization and triggering tears of joy amongst some of the most disadvantaged and marginalized groups living below poverty lines and empowering them to stand on their own feet.
SEDA believe in reaching out to the ultra poor with the goal of empowering them to stand on their own feet. This, we visualize, is only possible through the effective mobilization and organization of resources and by forging sustainable partnerships with all stakeholders with the aim of enabling the poor to obtain their basic human needs, without any discrimination on the basis of gender, caste, color or religion.
To help the poor communities achieve sustainable livelihoods, we would promote the introduction of innovative approaches and methodologies for grassroots level development through participation of all stakeholders. We visualize setting up good governance and results-based project implementation standards that serve as a model for replication by the government and other civil society organizations.
We also base our projects on four steady pillars, namely; (a) integration of resources and efforts, (b) participation of all stakeholders, (c) result based project management and (d) complete transparency of processes and other inputs.
